Greetings in Jesus name.

Thank you very much for all your helps rendering towards our ministry.

We are planning to start classes of self employed projects which includes Tailoring with embroidary works,Making baskets in plastic wires,making dolls, making decorative flowers ,making wire chairs and cots etc.This will help the children very much in the future.Children are very eager to learn the self employed projects in their leisure time.

We have found a teacher who are husband and wife by the Grace of God.They came on Sunday ie today to start the class.They have started to teach to make baskets.

Thank you very much for all your prayers and financial support. Here every thing is going on well by the Grace of God. Now there are 50 children.

Children are studying well than last year by the Grace of God. We had an attack of viral fever. Almost all children had the attack of viral fever. By Gods Grace they were healed. Two children escaped from the bite of a Big scorpion by the Grace of God last year.

We have reaped the first harvest of the fruits. Children enjoyed eating fruits of Guava,Pomegranate,Gooseberry,Sappota. The first harvest was in a small scale. The harvest was not up to the level of selling.

The two dogs are still there. They are very healthy. They kill snakes and scorpions very easily.

Children have a small garden inside the orphanage premise .They enjoy daily maitaining them. Children are enjoying the park daily. Last year we had so much shortage of electricity .the Generator was very useful during that time. Children are slowly learning english. Big children are learning the computer fast. They are very interested. The water filter – RO plant is very useful. The water taste after filtering is very tasteful. Thank you very much for it.

Convey the best wishes from the children to all the sponsors. Children enjoying eating the Sugarcane before the 10 days.

The fees for teaching the self employment projects is Rs 2000 monthly.”

Feb 2009 visit to orphanage

In February we spent 10 days with the children at the Berachah Eklesiastical Orphanage. The children were so excited to see Thomas again and to met me for the first time. You can’t help but fall in love with these children after spending time with them. The first floor of the orphanage building is complete and the children are quite comfortable in their new quarters. The property has been developed very nicely by Dr. Ralston and the home parents Canon and Roti. The children have a beautiful playground area with swings, volleyball court and play equipment, which they love. Canon has planted an acre of fruit trees which will provide fruit for the children as early as next year. In addition they have planted a vegetable garden.

We took several trips with the children to a water park , a waterfall, the ocean and a park. The water park was the biggest hit amongst the children.

We played lots of games, had water balloon fights and attempted some bible studies with the children. We made book markers for the sponsors which the children really seemed to enjoy. They wanted to be able to give something special to the sponsors in thanks for all their support. We hope the sponsors enjoyed receiving them.

We would like to ask for prayer for the oldest child. Her name is Esther. She became quite ill after we left with COPD. She had TB as a child but was never properly treated and now it has developed into COPD. She is a really withdrawl young girl with underlying mental issues and has now developed severe depression. She is currently in the hospital receiving treatment. Please pray for her recovery and that the Lord will give her a sense of worth and the feeling of knowing she is loved not only by him, but by others.
