PRAYER REQUEST UPDATE 7/8/09

In our previous prayer request we asked for prayer for Esther.  she was admitted to the hospital for mental problems and has since escaped the facility.  She was found wondering the street and has apparently been raped by two men.  The director of the orphanage urged her to come live with them at their home but she has refused.  She is mentally unstable and has no real perception of reality.  Please pray for her protection as she continues to live on the street and  for her mental health that God would heal her.

We would also like to ask for prayer for three the children who have been taken back by their families.  They will be subjected to child labor and may never be able to continue their education.   It is common in India for children to help support the family. Please pray that Christi,  Shanti and Daniel that they might be allowed to return to the orphanage and continue their education.

As some of you may know,  prior to working with Dr. Ralston we purchased a building in south India.  We are currently working on trying to sell this building.  Please pray for a buyer for the building.  We hoping to use the money from the sale of this property to expand the ministry.

 PRAYER NEEDS:

Please pray for Esther.  Esther is the oldest child in the orphanage.  She was very sick after our visit and has been diagnosed with COPD, secondary to untreated TB as a child.  This is rare for a child to have COPD.  She is a very withdrawn young girl with some mental issues.  She is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment for severe depression.  She suffers from very low esteem.  Please pray the Lord will restore her and heal her from the depression and she will know she is loved not only by him but by others.

Answered Prayer:  Building was completely in May 2008 and children have moved in.  See pictures in current events.

Berachah Eklesiastical Mission: ( May 2007 ) Recently approximately 19 acres of land was purchased by the ministry. It is the prayer of Dr. Ralston and his team to build a church, medical center, elderly home and orphanage on this property. The property has one unfinished building which they desire to turn into the orphanage as soon as funding becomes available. The approximate cost for this remodel is approximately $ 12,000. Pictures of the property below:   See praise report for update!

PRAISE:

As some of you may know, ABP Ministries had the opportunity to help a young girl named Keerthana.  She was badly burned over 40% of her body.  Thru the generous donations of Kaleo Church and others all her medical needs and cost have been provided for.  She is recovering well.  Please see Keerthana post for an update and more information.

Thomas and Jim were able to minister to several of the Indian people on their last visit in June. They were invited to the home of one man who’s son has autism. He asked them to come and pray for his son and they were able to share the gospel for several hours.

Thomas had a divine appointment on the plane trip to India. He was bumped from his seat in first class (we use standby tickets to travel and sometimes end up in first class, but can be bumped at any time). He was somewhat embarrassed as they asked him to leave his seat but he was seated next to man who he shared the gospel with for several hours. The gentlemen was very interested and asked alot of questions. God uses the humble things of this world to confound the wise.

Jim and Thomas met a mechanic named Simon on their trip. He asked them to go to a local hospital to visit the sick. Unfortunately, the Lord closed that door but Simon invited them to his house to met his family and to pray for them. While at his house one of his relatives came and asked if they could come to her house and pray, while on the way to her house several others stopped them and asked for prayer. It was like a snowball effect and they were able to pray with many people.
